Door Supervisor Security Training

Achieving the Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification is the first step towards obtaining an SIA Licence which enables you to work as a Door Supervisor or Security Officer within the Private Security Industry. If you are looking to work in the Security industry as a Door Supervisor or a Security Officer, then the Door Supervisor Training Course, is the right course for you.

Once you are qualified and have received your licence issued by the SIA (Security Industry Authority), you can then work in a number of security roles, static guarding, manned guarding, key holding to name a few. These security roles can be in a wide range of industries which include construction sites, schools and colleges to bars, clubs and event security.

The role of the door supervisor is to control admission to licensed premises and to ensure that customers are safe. Door supervisors need to be able to control the door, manage conflict situations, document incidents, prevent drug use and assist the management in ensuring the premises are run lawfully and responsibly.

This 6-day course is for anyone who wants to apply for an SIA Door Supervisor Licence to work as a Door Supervisor or a Security Officer in a licenced premises.

The SIA Door Supervisor course runs over 6 days and is divided into 4 units:

  • Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 2: Working as a Door Supervisor
  • Unit 3: Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 4: Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry

On the final day of the course there will be three multiple choice exams and a practical assessment.
