Industry-leading Security Company shortlisted for Business of the Year award.

Vistech Services has its sights set on a bright future, celebrating our 14th anniversary this year, we have achieved some of the highest accolades and awards available and are a leader in the security industry.

After another highly successful SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) audit carried out in 2020, Vistech became a member of a select group of security services suppliers, namely the ACS Pacesetters. This is an independent body whose membership is made up of contract security guarding companies that are in the top 15 per cent of benchmarking and achievement levels set by the Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme.

In 2021, Vistech went on to achieve NSI Gold Approval, which is a compliance-driven scheme that appeals to the elite in the security services sector. It is built on British Standards and NSI Codes of Practice, which compliant companies adhere to, and includes the best providers of private security services in the United Kingdom.

Managing director Chris Taylor said: “Our prestigious accreditations and our dedication to delivering excellence to our clients sets us apart from our competitors.”

Vistech’s efforts to achieve excellence have been recognised by being shortlisted as a finalist at the National Security and Fire Excellence awards for several years. In 2021 we were winners, scooping the Customer Care Initiative of the Year award, which recognised our commitment to going the extra mile.

Vistech’s high standards and industry-leading accreditations have set the foundation for continued growth and expansion.

Our success was celebrated when Vistech received the Ward Hadaway North-East Fastest 50 award in 2021, and in 2022 it achieved a top 10 position. Each year Ward Hadaway compiles a list of the region’s Top 50 fastest-growing businesses, recognising and celebrating their achievements.

More recently Vistech was a double award winner at the inaugural VelociTees ceremony, held to celebrate the Tees region’s fastest-growing businesses in terms of turnover and job creation. Not only did we win the SME VelociTees for turnover, having jumped 58 per cent and aiming for £10m turnover in the next financial year, Visetch also won the job creation VelociTees award for large businesses, with staff numbers rising 75 per cent to 270. Vistech is on track to increase our team to more than 300 this year.

Operations director Paul Heeran said: “I’m really proud and pleased to accept this award on behalf of our staff, who have made this possible for us.

“We’ve retained most of our staff since 2018 and they have been crucial in the growth of the company. Everybody is invested, so it really is down to them.”

No sooner had the inaugural VelociTees ceremony ended than it was announced Vistech had been a shortlisted finalist for the Tees Business of the Year award at the upcoming 2023 Tees Business Awards.

Asked about its most recent shortlist announcement, managing director Chris Taylor said: “I am extremely proud of the news we have been shortlisted for the Tees Business of the Year award.

“Building strong relationships and supporting the local community that we serve is an important part of the way we operate.

“As a Teesside-based company, to be shortlisted for an award in the local community is an incredible achievement for us.

“We are looking forward to attending another Tees Business Awards evening and celebrating the successes of the businesses across our region. What a fantastic start to 2023 – and we have big plans for the future, as we strive to deliver excellence.”
